Two years (2023) ago my sister and brother in law made a 6 week trip out west to all the national parks.  It dang near killed me, as I had never been out there yet.  Late summer last year we bought a camper so we could travel.  You have to book the national park campsites 12 months in advance.  Sharon said NO WAY to 6 weeks, so got all the places I wanted to go squeezed into 3 weeks and 2 days.  

Day 1: Tuesday 9/9/25:  (Photos) Travel day to Jester Park outside of Des Moines, IA

Day 2: Wednesday 9/10/25: (No Photos) Travel Day to R&R Campground Mitchell, SD

Day 3: Thursday 9/11/25: Travel Day to Buffalo Ridge Campground, SD

Day 4: Friday 9/12/25: Mount Rushmore in morning, Custer State Park in the evening

Day 5: Saturday 9/13/25: Badlands, Spearfish Canyon, & Mount Rushmore at night

Day 6: Sunday 9/14/25: Crazy Horse Monument 

Day 7: Monday 9/15/25: Travel Day to Fishing Bridges RV in Yellowstone, WY Bonus Bull Elk

Day 8: Tuesday 9/16/25: First full day in Yellowstone.

Day 9: Wednesday 9/17/25: Yellowstone

Day 10 Thursday 9/18/25: Yellowstone & Beartooth Pass

Day 11 Friday 9/19/25: Morning in Yellowstone, Evening in Grand Tetons (Moose)

Day 12 Saturday 9/20/25: Shopping in Jackson, and Big Four

Day 13 Sunday 9/21/25: Grand Tetons

Day 14 Monday 9/22/25: Travel Day to Salt Lake City, UT

Day 15 Tuesday 9/23/25: Travel day to The Arches National Park in Moab, UT

Day 16 Wednesday 9/24/25: Canyonlands National Park

Day 17 Thursday 9/25/25: Mesa Arch in the morning, Travel Day to Golden CO

Day 18 Friday 9/26/25: Red Rocks and Rocky Mountain National Park 

Day 19 Saturday 9/27/25 Day 1 traveling home

Day 20 Sunday 9/28/25: Day 2 Traveling home

Day 21 Monday 9/29/25: Day 3 traveling home.  HOME late in the evening.
